Education Service Units began in 1966, with ESU9 serving five and one-third counties in Nebraska. They were established in an effort to provide an education for students of all ability levels and learning styles. Since then, their mission has been to “educate, empower, and inspire” every student who walks through their doors, and to create lifelong learners out of them. ESU9 encourages everyone involved in their programs—from students and parents to teachers and staff—to strive for a positive outlook in all that they do. They believe that, with enough intentionality and effort, everyone can be a winner.
Control Yours worked with Education Service Unit 9 to redesign their website and make it more accessible. We used the blue and yellow colors of their logo to give their site a feel that was both inviting and educational. Their home page features their latest news posts, upcoming events, and their twitter feed, and we split the resources offered on their site into two menus: one at the top and one at the bottom, in dropdown and list style, respectively. Everyone at ESU9 was absolutely a joy to work with, and we wish them all the best!
